Why Mars will not turn your skin red

Known science: Mars appears red because of iron-bearing dust and minerals. This does not imply that human skin would become red.

Plausible but unconfirmed: protected habitats may change human routines and physiological demands.

Speculative: designing a new species from a planet's color is storytelling, not an established result.
